Name: (Easton) Warge

Location: A mixture of woodland area’s and large plains

Domestic/Wild:  Wild. There is no documented scenario where a Warge has been domesticated, they are pack animals and to tame one as a mount requires brutal alpha dominance. (IRL example: taming Artic huskies)

Rarity: Easton Warges are fairly common in the land of stillness around open plains, whilst other breeds of Warge are rarer.

Height: 5ft

Weight: 1300lb

Age Ranges:   30-40 Years

Herbivore/Carnivore/Omnivore: Carnivore. Often feasts on smaller animals like rabbits, deer, sheep and cows. On rare occasions they are known to eat sentient life.

Behaviour: Aggressive. As aggressive as this creature can be it’s only hostile towards pray and its own kind, tends to stay away from heavily populated areas any and only shows aggression whilst in a group of 3 or more.

Abilities:  

- Thick hide: unlike most common mounts like horses Warges have much thicker hide and can endure a fair amount of arrows (2-3 arrows not including head shots), this does make them slower in a sprint however.

 - Sharp nose: Like most breed of dog the Warge posses a strong tracking sent, useful when hunting pray, this makes them a common tool used for bounty hunters.

Magical: No magical traits.

Variations: Male Warges have a much larger ‘hump’ whilst females are more slender but weight around 1000lb and only reach up to 4ft but have a much stronger sense of smell compared to the male.

Other: Easton Wargs where brought into the land of stillness many years ago. Transported as pups by devil tradesmen who wanted in Gods Reach to be bread in captivity, to harvest their rich thick hide to create a stronger leather. During that time population boomed in the closed environment and many escaped and fled the city. Since they have grown accustomed to their surroundings and survived in large packs of around 14 in the land of stillness.

Breeds:

 Easton Warges: Brought in from the Easton these are creatures inhabit the woodland and open planes around the land of stillness, so far these are documented as the ‘default’ breed but none can be certain how many other breeds of Warge there are outside the land of stillness.

Mountain Warges: Much larger than their Easton brothers coated in a thick white fur, these beasts have adapted to the harsh cold of the mountain tops that they inhabit, they are expert climbers and much more savage. These are much taller and can have a thicker hide.

Southern Warges: Spotted along the southern borderlands in the land of stillness this breed of Warge is by far the rarest of the known breeds. Unlike its Easton brother they suspected to be native to an area south of the land of stillness (unknown how far). These creatures are described to look more like wolfs than dogs and are commonly mistaken for Dyer wolfs as they are much smaller and more agile. These beasts are much smaller around 3-4 ft tall and travel in packs of 3-2 assumed to be families.
